Do you remember what a big deal the George W. Bush campaign, and its extension, the mainstream media made over the awkward statement John Kerry made in 2004 �I actually did vote for the $87 billion before I voted against it.� Did that same so-called "Liberal Media" go to sleep and never awoken since then? Have you heard any of them asking how George W. Bush can expect anyone to take him seriously when they can't even figure out what he stands for?

What about all of these "flip-flops"

• First, Bush is against campaign finance reform; then he's for it.
• First, Bush is against a Homeland Security Department; then he's for it.
• First, Bush is against a 9/11 commission; then he's for it.
• First, Bush is against an Iraq WMD investigation; then he's for it.
• First, Bush is against nation building; then he's for it.
• First, Bush is against deficits; then he's for them.
• First, Bush is for free trade; then he's for tariffs on steel; then he's against them again.
• First, Bush is against the U.S. taking a role in the Israeli Palestinian conflict; then he pushes for a "road map" and a Palestinian State.
• First, Bush is for states' rights to decide on gay marriage, then he's for changing the Constitution to prevent states from having any say.
• First, Bush first says he'll provide money for first responders (fire, police, emergency), the budget he sent to Congress cut benefits, instead of increasing them.
• First, Bush first says that 'help is on the way' to the military ... the budget he sent to Congress cut benefits, instead of increasing them.
• First, Bush says "The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. Then Bush says "I don't know where he is. I have no idea and I really don't care." But then, on Sept. 12, 2006 Bush says,"No matter how long it takes, America will find you, and we will bring you to justice."
• First, Bush claims to be in favor of the environment and then secretly starts drilling on Padre Island.
• First, Bush said he would demand a U.N. Security Council vote on whether to sanction military action against Iraq. Later Bush announced he would not call for a vote
• First, Bush said the "mission accomplished" banner was put up by the sailors.  Then Bush admitted it was his own advance team.
• First, Bush was against increasing anti-terror budget, then he was for it.
• First, Bush said the UN was irrelevant, then asked for the UN's help.
• First, Bush was against releasing the oil reserves, then he was all for it.
• First, Bush said the economy is strong, then he said the economy was in a soft patch.
• First, Bush said he was for smaller government, then he created the largest government in history.
• First, Bush said we only needed 50,000 troops to secure Iraq, then he sent 150,000.
• First, Bush said he would not touch the Social Security trust fund, then he raided it.
• First, Bush said he opposed the 9/11 commission, then he promoted it as though it was his own idea.
• First, Bush said he was too busy to testify before the 9/11 comission, then he agreed to testify (provided Cheney could accompany him, they could testify off the record, and not under oath).
• First, Bush said Al Qaida and Saddam were connected, then he said there were no links between the two, then acted as though they were connected.
• First, Bush said we couldn't win the war on terror, then he said we could.
• First, Bush said Clinton/Gore should have 'jawboned' OPEC into reducing prices, then did nothing as oil climbed to $70 / barrel.
• First, Bush was against participation in NATO, then he was for it.
• First, Bush is for a patients right to sue, then he argues against it.
• First, Bush said no more money was needed for Iraq in 2004, then asked for 20 billion more.
• First, Bush was for Chalabi and invited him to the State of the Union speech, then he had Chalabi's home raided.
• First, Bush opposed extension of 9/11 commission, then he supported extension of 9/11 commission.
• First, Bush says he supports diverting Great Lakes, then he opposes diverting Great Lakes.
• First, Bush was for limits on carbon dioxide, now against limits on carbon dioxide.
• First, Bush was for fingerprinting and photographing Mexicans who enter the US. Bush after meeting with Pres. Fox, then he's against it.
• First, Bush first says the U.S. won't negotiate with North Korea. Now he will.

One of the Professors who had George Bush in his class at Harvard, Yoshi Tsurumi (who is now Professor of International Business, Baruch College, the City University of New York ) wrote about President Bush in March of 2004:

More than eight years after they were launched as a bold experiment in education, Texas' charter schools as a whole are performing well below other public schools on state tests,according to a Dallas Morning News review of data .

It's really strange the way so many citizens of "Conservative" states support Republicans who say they oppose government welfare, and support self-sufficiency and independence, have no idea how dependent their very own states are on "government welfare".  Welfare assistance that is largely contributed to their states by the "Liberal" states that elect generous public servants like Bill and Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, John Kerry, and Ted Kennedy.  See this very interesting chart on "Liberal" vs. "Welfare" states.
