How to Web Pages
- Under the "Page Setup" option under the "File" options, you may want to make the margins all ".44"
- Then, under the Menu / View/Text, reduce the size of "Text" or "Font".
- If you temporarily reduce the text size to the smallest option, the result on the printed page is usually quite satisfactory. But if not, resize accordingly, in the same way.
- Whether pictures and/or colored backgrounds print depends the options selected in your browser, [ in I.E. under Menu /Tools/Internet Options/Advanced/"Print background color and images" -- which most people keep unchecked]. If you print in black ink, regardless of the background color on the screen, the text will normally print in black (or grey) on white.
- It's a good idea to use the "Print Preview" feature, to see what you are going to get and to selectively print certain pages, if you like.
- Another way to print only part of a site is to begin by highlighting the desired section with your mouse, before chosing the "print" option; then look for the "print selection" option, as opposed to printing the whole site.
- After you have printed what you want, you may want to go back to the Menu / View / Text option to restore the original font size.
