Do you remember what a big deal the George W. Bush campaign, and its extension, the mainstream media made over the awkward statement John Kerry made in 2004 I actually did vote for the $87 billion before I voted against it. Did that same so-called "Liberal Media" go to sleep and never awoken since then? Have you heard any of them asking how George W. Bush can expect anyone to take him seriously when they can't even figure out what he stands for?

What about all of these "flip-flops"

One of the Professors who had George Bush in his class at Harvard, Yoshi Tsurumi (who is now Professor of International Business, Baruch College, the City University of New York ) wrote about President Bush in March of 2004:

"At Harvard Business School, thirty years ago, George Bush was a student of mine. I still vividly remember him. In my class, he declared that "people are poor because they are lazy."  He was opposed to labor unions, social security, environmental protection, Medicare, and public schools.  To him, the antitrust watch dog, the Federal Trade Commission, and the Securities Exchange Commission were unnecessary hindrances to "free market competition."   To him, Franklin Roosevelt's New Deal was "socialism."
Recently, President Bush's Federal Appeals Court nominee, California's Supreme Court Justice Janice Brown, repeated the same broadside at her Senate hearing.  She knew that her pronouncement would please President Bush and Karl Rove and their Senators.  President Bush and his brain, Karl Rove, are leading a radical revolution of destroying all the democratic political, social, judiciary, and economic institutions that both Democrats and moderate Republicans had built together since Roosevelt's New Deal." www.glocom.org/opinions/essays/20040301_tsurumi_president

George W. Bush claimed that as the governor of one of America's largest states he had been a "Reformer With Results" : His friends, who own just about all of the important mainstream media outlets let him get away with his groundless claims, despite the facts, namely:

Charlie Rangel is one of the U.S. House's most distinguished members, now serving his 17th term in the Harlem district where President Bill Clinton has set up his office.

God bless you, TEXAS, if YOU were happy with such a governor.
The rest of the country would have been eternally grateful
if only you had kept him for yourselves !

Hope you're happy with the Republicans you elected to run your state
since you cursed the rest of the country with "W":

More than eight years after they were launched as a bold experiment in education, Texas' charter schools as a whole are performing well below other public schools on state tests, according to a Dallas Morning News review of data .

It's really strange the way so many citizens of "Conservative" states support Republicans who say they oppose government welfare, and support self-sufficiency and independence, have no idea how dependent their very own states are on "government welfare".  Welfare assistance that is largely contributed to their states by the "Liberal" states that elect generous public servants like Bill and Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, John Kerry, and Ted Kennedy.  See this very interesting chart on "Liberal" vs. "Welfare" states.

Many a great truth is said in jest, or as Jay Leno has said:
"Don't you think a man who has fried so many people
ought to be called "Colonel" rather than "Governor"?

Texas prisons may be so bad that "compassionate conservatism"
means executing people to spare them an even worse fate !

What IS a "Compassionate Conservative" anyway?

or is it somebody who "feels the pain" of the Super Rich
and can't stop crying about
the heavy tax burden they have to carry ?

How "bright" is Gov. George W. Bush ?

New study shows that Bush was in TOP  5%
of his classes at Harvard and Yale . . .   alphabetically.

"In 1989 Bush told Roland Betts, his good friend and former Yale classmate:  "You know I could run for governor, but I'm basically a media creation.  I've never done anything.  I've worked for my dad.  I worked in the oil business.  But that's not the kind of profile you have to have to get elected to public office."

Fortunate Son by Hatfield ( Page 95 . . .ch 4 . . .).  Betts was also a partner in the Texas Rangers and in Spectrum 7, an energy company.  ( pg. 289).
