Outstanding Products and Services I've experienced :
About twenty ago, I thought it would be a great idea if people had a way to share any truly outstanding services and/or products they had they had experienced with their family, friends, co-workers, etc. If only I had acted on my idea then, "Angie's List" might be called "Ray's List" today. In any event, I still think it's a great idea and would like to recommend the following:
- For anyone in need of web site registration or hosting, I've received outstanding value and service from
Servers and Domains since March of 2000.
- Another great company that I would like to recommend for anyone who needs great banners, delivered fast, and at very reasonable prices is
AlwaysSign.com.
- After suffering through countless hours of frustration and aggravation for decades with "PC"s, I finally took a chance on the cheapest MAC that Apple offers, and I've been astounded at how much superior their hardware and software are to PC's and Windows, and I have found that at least for people like me who have an Apple outlet nearby, despite the higher initial cost, they are actually cheaper in the long run.
PC-users may find this hard to imagine, but in nearly 30 months, I have had hardly any problems, and when I did, I was either able to resolved them fairly easily myself, or when I brought my computer (which is the size of an external DVD drive) to the Apple Store, it didn't cost me a cent, even after their experts had given me several hours of their time. And they didn't even have to open the case. They even replaced my "Track Pad" (mouse) free of charge, when they determined it was defective, even though I didn't have a receipt.
One factor that has made my experience easier is that I didn't have to choose between MAC or PC. I use my MAC for most of my computing, but still use my PC, when I have to.
- I've used many printer/scanner/copiers over the years, but the one I have found best by far is my current Lexmark X7675, and one reason for that is their phenomenal technical phone support. Having done that job myself, I can't imagine how they could improve on their service, or charge less, i.e. nothing. I've dealt with both their PC and MAC techs, and they did most everything by remote control, with hardly any need for input on my side after I told them what the problem was.
And when there was a real problem with a printer, they replaced it with no hassle and not even a shipping charge.
